Flandre Scarlet - Phasing Turntable

I've always loved creepy, eerie or vicious looking Flans. So I decided to go in that direction with this model.


Dark eyes with a fiery pupils hint at her destructive nature and let me easily switch her between emotionless or really demented looking facial expressions.


The idea of chained wings came to fruition during a discussion with a friend of mine .   IIRC he mentioned her having dangling chains instead of wings, as if she just broke out of being bonded by said chains. The idea really intrigued me and I decided to take it a step further by giving her fully controlled chains which resulted in a very nice cthulhu-esque set of wings. The crystals were then added to make em look more Flandre like. The rig setup for these chains include a crapload of bones being controlled by curves parented to hooks. One bone per chain link to prevent them from warping too much.

Her clothes were designed to be edgy and a bit oversized, kind of like they were hand-me-downs from Remilia; but still very Flan-like. I stuck with her basic color scheme and kept the recognizable neckerchief, or whatever you call that thing xD.


The blemishes on her skin have went through many different alterations; but always with the same idea in mind. That Flandre's power is so incredible that it is literally scorching herself from the inside out.. However, thanks to her vampiric healing abilities she is able to "Out-Regen" the scorching. If anyone is familiar with the 90's Godzilla movie "Vs Destroyah" it is very similar to his Radioactive meltdown.

She was designed overall with the "Fire" element in mind. Contrast to Remilia's "Darkness".

Everything was done in Blender. Base poly count is just over 28,000 while it boosts to around 260k at render time. The chain's account for a healthy chunk of that xD
